| From: | Larry A. Nielsen, Provost and Executive Vice Chancellor |
| Subject: | Reappointment, Promotion, and Tenure (RPT), 2009-2010 |
This memorandum provides notification of the Reappointment, Promotion and Tenure schedule and expectations for the 2009-2010 RPT cycle. Dossiers are due to my office per the following college specific schedule. Please submit to Vicki Walton, 207 Holladay Hall.
Staggered Deadlines:
January 11, 2010 – Design, Education, Management, Natural Resources, Textiles, Veterinary Medicine
January 19, 2010 – Humanities and Social Sciences, Physical and Mathematical Sciences
January 25, 2010 – Agriculture and Life Sciences, Engineering
The process details and all related policies, regulations and rules are available on the RPT Web site.
Optional enhancements for the dossier include a fillable dossier template, fillable tables to report student teaching evaluations and graduate committees.
Mandatory Changes for this year include:
- III. Scholarship in the Realms of Faculty Responsibility: A. Clearly designate completed work from pending work that has been submitted for peer review. Define ‘submitted’ or ‘in review’ in the appropriate language that your discipline uses so all reviewers of dossiers may understand your culture.
- III. B. Lists should designate whether funded and funding levels and duration (if applicable). Include Research Administration Data and Reporting System (RADAR) report if available.
Each college will receive an electronic summary of all the mandatory cases broken down by department on or before June 1, 2009. Corrections and any anticipated non-mandatory cases should be added to the summary and returned to Vicki Walton by August 3, 2009. Additional non-mandatory cases can be added until January 4, 2010.
Thank you for your diligence in this important process.
