Schedule 2007-2008

Department heads and deans should develop the detailed schedules for the review activities that must occur at the department and college levels consistent with the following schedule:

1 May 16, 2007 Release of the 2007-2008 RPT Web Site
2 August 1, 2007

Submission by the Deans of:

  • adjustments to departmental summaries (including mandatory and expected nonmandatory candidates)
3 September 4, 2007 Office of the Provost will provide Dossier Cover Forms to the Deans for each mandatory and expected nonmandatory candidate.
4 January 4, 2008 Last possible date to add expected nonmandatory cases.

Staggered Deadlines:

January 7, 2008 Design, Education, Management, Natural Resources, Textiles, Vet Med.

January 14, 2008
CHASS, PAMS

January 22, 2008 CALS, Engineering

 

Submission of Dossiers by the deans should be delivered to the Office of the Provost, 207 Holladay Hall, Box 7526. Each packet should include:

  • original Dossier Cover Form for each candidate;
  • Candidate responses must be included (if applicable). No candidate response time clock is to run past the deadline date to the Office of the Provost.
6 January 7- February 1, 2008 Office of the Provost prepares materials for review by the university level committee.
7 February 4-29, 2008
  • Individual review of dossiers by the Provost and university level committee.
  • University Reappointment, Promotion and Tenure Committee reviews dossiers assigned by the provost (as requested).
8 by March 14, 2008
  • Decisions made
  • Completion of university level review.
9 By April 7, 2008 Office of the Provost will share with each dean the decisions with regard to his/her college.
10 April 17-18, 2008 NC State Board of Trustees' Meeting- final approval
11 By May 1, 2008 Decision letters go out
