Schedule 2005-2006

Department heads and deans should develop the detailed schedules for the review activities that must occur at the department and college levels consistent with the following schedule:

Release of the 2005-2006 RPT Web Site

2 July 15, 2005

Submission by deans of:

1. adjustments to Departmental Summaries (including mandatory and expected nonmandatory candidates);

2. Graduate Faculty Status letters (as applicable, see FAQ #15)
3 By August 1, 2005 Office of the Provost will provide a Dossier Cover Form to the Deans' Offices for each mandatory and expected nonmandatory candidate; please notify provost@ncsu.edu should any changes need to be made to a Dossier Cover Form.
4 November 30, 2005 Submission by deans of finalized Departmental Summaries to the Office of the Provost in care of provost@ncsu.edu, who will, upon submission, provide Dossier Cover Forms for the remaining candidates.

Submission by deans of dossiers to the Office of the Provost in care of Jevonda Greer, 206 Holladay Hall, Box 7526, including:

  1. original Dossier Cover Form for each candidate;
  2. electronic copy of the Brief Resume for each candidate recommended for tenure or promotion/tenure.

Candidate responses must be included (if applicable). No candidate response timeclock is to run past this deadline date to the Office of the Provost.

Office of the Provost prepares materials for review
7 January 9-20, 2006 Presentations by deans of College/Department RPT Criteria to the Provost and University-Level Academic Officers
8 February 6-17, 2006

1) Individual review of dossiers by the Provost and University-Level Academic Officers

2) Individual review of assigned dossiers by URPTC members (when requested)

9 February 17-
March 10, 2006

1) Provost and University-Level Academic Officers individual discussion meetings

2) Provost and University-Level Academic Officers dialogue with deans (as necessary)

10 By March 31, 2006

1) Decisions made

2) Completion of university administrative review

11 By April 7, 2006 Office of the Provost will share with each dean the decision list for his/her college
12 April 20-21, 2006 NC State Board of Trustees' Meeting
13 By May 3, 2006 Communication of all decisions delivered to colleges
