Subject: Reappointment, Promotion, and Tenure (RPT), 2005-2006

This memorandum provides notification of the Reappointment, Promotion and Tenure (RPT) schedule and expectations for the 2005-2006 RPT Cycle. Dossiers are due to my office per the following college specific schedule. Please submit to Nichole Lawrence, 206 Holladay Hall.

Submission by deans of dossiers to the Office of the Provost in care of Nicole Lawrence, 206 Holladay Hall, Box 7526, including:

  1. original Dossier Cover Form for each candidate;
  2. electronic copy of the Brief Resume for each candidate recommended for tenure or promotion/tenure.

Candidate responses must be included (if applicable). No candidate response timeclock is to run past this deadline date to the Office of the Provost.

The process details and all related policies, regulations, and rules are available on the RPT web site. Very minor changes have been made for this year.

Deans will electronically submit the Brief Resume for each candidate recommended for tenure or promotion/tenure to Jevonda Greer on the same day the dossiers are due. Personnel actions are not to be generated until the decision process is completed. Colleges/Departments will be notified of the appropriate time to enter information into the personnel system.

Please verify the accuracy of all mandatory and expected nonmandatory cases on the attached Departmental Summary document and return it through the Dean's Office to Jevonda Greer by
5:00 p.m., Friday, July 15, 2005. Departmental Summaries are to be finalized and submitted to Jevonda Greer by 5:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 30, 2005.
