Major actions (courses)
EI 331 Interdisciplinary Entrepreneurship Thinking I
Guest Jennifer Capps spoke about the necessity of this action going forth prior to the registration period. That the approach is a more interdisciplinary approach to Entrepreneurship that those courses offered in the COM. She detailed the meeting with Dr. Davis, Associate Dean in COM, regarding review of the courses and certificate being proposed. EI 201 was approved in the Spring and being taught this fall. Students would like to register for EI 331 offered in the upcoming spring semester which is the next course in the sequence.

Andy Nowel from the College of Management distributed a handout (attached to minutes) outlining an objection to this action. This objection was based on duplication of efforts with those of management and overlap with Management courses. Nowel moved to table this action pending timely and full consultation between EI and the College of Management.
10 member voted yes to table.
6 members voted not to table.
2 members abstained from the vote.
