Certificate guidelines: Review of timeline to completion requirement
John Ambrose led a general discussion about the timeline required for a student to complete a university certificate. Two motions were made and approved:
- Delete the 4th bullet from the Guidelines stating that “All UCP requirement must be completed within (4) calendar years, beginning with the date the student commences courses applicable to the UCP, unless a more restrictive time limit has been established by the program or academic college/school.
- Remove the second sentence from the 5th bullet so that it now states, “The certificate requirements cannot be completed simply as part of a curriculum, minor or other university program.”
Meeting adjourned at 1:41 pm.
