Discussion

The draft of consultation guidelines was reviewed. It was suggested to stress  “avoid duplication” at the top of the draft. It was discussed whether only email is enough or phone should also be included as the means of consultation. There were a couple of questions about the time line specified in the draft: i.e. What does “2 weeks” mean?  Is “2 weeks” enough? While it was suggested to add “for initial response” after “2 weeks” and replace the word “will” to “can” in the third paragraph of the draft, it was also suggested to remove the time period entirely from the draft and leave it up to UCCC. There seemed to be a consensus in stating that the colleges should respond in timely manner. A revised draft of the consultation guidelines will be prepared for review at the next meeting.

Announcement

It was announced that the Syllabus subcommittee would be meeting in Room 3118 of Talley directly after the adjournment of UCCC.

The meeting was adjourned at 1:35pm.
