Chair Andrea Atkin convened the meeting at 12:33 p.m.
Remarks from Chair: Welcome to the Committee and notice of the delayed arrival of the Associate Dean for Undergraduate Academic Programs.
Approval of Minutes:
The minutes of 13 December 2006 were approved.
Old Business: (tabled actions)
GC 250 Architectural Graphic Communications (revision) was approved as submitted.
GC 330 Basic Technical Animation (new course) was approved as submitted
New Business:
Consent Agenda
IE and IEF curricula were pulled to correct footnote 3 on pages 3 and 5.. “Change CH 121 to CH 102” on both pages.
Graphic Communications Minor was pulled to correct listings under elective courses on page 3 to reflect the changes requested on page 2 of the same document
The following items were approved without discussion:
ISE Courses – IE 307, 351/351L, 371/371L and IE 440, all drops
IE course prerequisite change
NS 220 and NS 410, Change in course number
NE 202, change in title
REL 326, drop

was approved pending the following changes:
- Cover sheet, include date of last action
- Page 2, switch Spring and Fall for term offered

was approved pending the following changes:
- Cover sheet, include date of last action
- Page 2, switch Spring and Fall for term offered
- Page 7, state prerequisite on syllabus
- Page 11, include lab safety lecture
NE 406 Nuclear Engineering Senior Design Preparation (new course)
was approved pending the following changes:
- Page 3, include correct URL in disabilities statement
- Page 3, include correct URL in academic integrity statement
- Page 3, include attendance policy
- Page 3, include NE 402 as co requisite
- Page 3, as a friendly suggestion include a statement on how different elements of the course factor into the grading of the course
NE 408 Nuclear Engineering Design Project (revision)
was approved as submitted.

Remarks from the Associate Dean for Undergraduate Academic Programs:
Dr. Ambrose asked for volunteers for a subcommittee to look at the course syllabus. The committee will be co-chaired by Richard Braham. He also reminded the committee of the 3:00 p.m. faculty meeting presenting the revised GER plan.
