Committee Charge

The University Courses and Curricula Committee is advisory to the Provost and is responsible for reviewing undergraduate course and curriculum proposals, including academic minors, honors programs, and non-degree certificate programs.

In consultation with the college curriculum committees and the college deans, the committee shall develop policies and procedures for this purpose except that, when reviewing the proposals that involve the University General Education requirements in any undergraduate curriculum, the committee shall follow policies established by the Provost on the recommendation of the Council on Undergraduate Education. The Courses and Curricula Committee is also delegated responsibility by the Provost for developing guidelines for the periodic review of courses.
