Committee Charge
The objectives of this Committee are as follows:
To develop a comprehensive understanding of the resource issues facing the University and the context in which budgetary decisions are made and, by consensus, identify core values and principles to inform NC State decision-makers in the years ahead. The Committee is advisory to the Chancellor.
The composition of the Faculty Advisory Budget Committee will reflect all areas of the academic enterprise: academic affairs, research, extension and engagement, and student affairs. The Committee will be composed of:
- Provost and Executive Vice Chancellor, Chair
- 1 Faculty Senator appointed by the Faculty Senate
- 2 Faculty appointed by the Provost
- Chair of the Faculty
- Past Chair or Chair-Elect of the Faculty
- Senior Dean
- Chair of the Department Heads Council
- Vice Chancellor for Finance and Business
- Vice Chancellor for Extension, Engagement, and Economic Development
- Vice Chancellor for Research and Graduate Studies
- Chair of the Staff Senate
- Chair-Elect of the Staff Senate
The Committee Chair will call upon staff resources, including the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs, the University Treasurer, and the Associate Vice Chancellor for Resource Management and Information Systems, to assist the Committee and attend its meetings.
