Copyright Ownership
Most members of the North Carolina State University community are both owners and users of copyrighted material. You might be the "owner", that is, copyright holder, or copyright law and/or university policy might mandate other types or owners of the work. To determine the ownership status of your work, you should review the revised REG 01.25.03. If a definitive determination is necessary, ownership status is under the authority of the Provost who considers the recommendation of the Copyright Committee before making his final and unappealable decision.
To begin the process of review, please complete the disclosure form (linked below) and send it, per the REG, to the Special Assistant to the Provost for Copyright Administration at CB 7113.
